Good Evening Grouper Fans!
It has been a big day here on Little Cayman! All of the scientists flew in this morning on the twin engine otter and quickly got to work preparing for our first dive on the aggregation site. This afternoon a group of 9 divers (including Verity Redrup and myself) loaded ourselves and a ton of dive gear onto the Sea Keeper, a 46 foot boat, run by the Department of Environment. Take a look at some of the amazing photos taken during the dive by Josh Stewart, a graduate student at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
who is the person in the background?
and where do you get your coffee?

That is a scientist from Oregon State University. His name is Scott Heppell. And, I brought my own coffee 🙂
All these pictures are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How much longer is it until they finish spawning, and leave the aggregation site?
The grouper will typically be on the aggregation site for approximately 10 days.
